Qidi SBox S-Box Carbon Air Filter Scrubber

Here is a "so simple it's stupid" air filtration accessory for my QIDI S-Box resin 3D printers. What a fantastic machine! Sure it's a RGB 2K screen, but for the price, this thing is a commercial grade machine. And it prints with some impressive resolution. But the resin odor is pretty heavy, and the QIDI little air filtration system has much to be desired. You see, the S-Box has 2 small fans at both back corners of the printer that pull air from the resin chamber and into the bottom of the machine and out into the room. They have these little granulated carbon thingies that just don't work. So I tried many options, and came across this super simple option. 5 Micron Carbon Wrap water filters. And they happen to fit inside the printer perfectly! So I whipped up a couple parts that make the water filter an air filter. Air flow restriction is practically negligible, as I can breath through them normally. What a HUGE difference in cutting down the smell! The activated carbon in these filters reduces the smell by at least 90%, and they are only around $10 for a pair on Amazon! And I get to breath a lot easier. You may be able to alter this approach to fit your individual needs. Have fun!
