Sovol SV04 Z Brace Brackets
Description
I wanted a simple premade Z Brace kit made of aluminum, but noticed that the extruder profile and fan position on the SV04 were noticably larger than other similar models, which made it so the printer could not go above 280mm on the Z axis without hitting. To fix this, I designed a top bracket to allow me to reposition the Z Brace in a manner that allows it to clear the print head all the way up to the 400mm build height without any clearance issues, while allowing me to also retain a front brace position rather than moving it to the back of the machine and limiting the stability gain from it. I also made a simple bracket to allow repositioning the touch screen slightly to the right of it's original position to make clearance for the Z Brace, without requiring any modification to the wiring harness. These brackets make use of the Z Brace kit designed for the CR10 and other 300x300x400mm printers commonly sold on Amazon. The kit I used is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QDJTWB4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details You can make use of all existing bolts in the original kit, and just require an additional (2x) M5x10 screws and (2x) M5 nuts to attach the touchscreen to the bracket. You may also want to swap the screws that originally held the touchscreen out for M5x10 screws to allow a little more thread hold. ------------------------- Update 10/21/21: I added a file for a printed lower bracket in the event someone wanted to print the brackets and make their own brace instead of using an amazon kit.
