Magnetic Effector and Carriages for Rostock Max V2

Magnetic Effector and Carriages for Rostock Max V2

Description

Uses basic 12mm magnets that you can actually buy at home depot. You do have the option to use countersunk magnets which would likely need to be glued in place, but unlike most effectors of this type, you can use 12mm*2 (or 3mm?) disc magnets rare earth. You can get them much cheaper than the countersunk magnets. If you use the disk magnets, as I did, you can forego the glue and use the included counter sunk magnet caps that both hold the magnets in place and provided cushioning and self lubricate the joint between the ball and magnet and can be replaced quickly and easily. I printed all parts on fine settings with excellent results. I designed this to easily provide room for a BLTouch or similar probe. I also designed it to work with just about any Hotend Mount for the Max V2, including the stock mount. If you search for my Bltouch mount for the Max V2, I designed it to be compatible with the setup linked in the description. I was surprised at how little I found to go down this road with the Max v2, so I decided to blaze my own trail. the magnets are place 49mm on center, apart on both the carriages and the effector. Many of the other options I saw were only for either the effector or the carriages. Its crucial that they are spaced equally. Hope it works for you! Its only my second Thing! I would love some feedback! this will probably work on many deltas, but I'm not sure! the effector would almost certainly, but the carriages may not depending on your application!
