XXL JOLT Blaster

XXL JOLT Blaster

Description

Hello there. This is a fairly faithful recreation of the Jolt, but sized up to accommodate Caliburn sized plunger tubing. It is functional, but still very much a work in progress. I have included f3d and step files for those of you who wish to go crazy on this thing. The main body/grip needs to be printed vertically with the bottom of the grip flat on the bed. You will need to use supports and will have to do a bit of cleanup inside the air tube that leads to the barrel coupler. The Barrel needs to be printed vertically with the front of the barrel flat on the build plate. The trigger guard needs to be printed flat and you will need supports for the gap that mates to the grip. All the other parts are pretty easy to figure out how to orient on your bed, so I won't bother stating the obvious. Assembly is extremely straightforward, but you will need to glue some pieces into place. The plunger tube will need to be glued (lots of glue) into the grip and you will need to make sure you use enough glue to seal things up nicely as there is no o-ring to seal things up at the top. With the test prints I've made it isn't difficult to get a perfect seal. The plunger tube being glued in place also provides a great deal of structural strength when it comes to usable springs as well. The barrel will need to be glued in until I can make a reliable twist lock connector for the barrel and grip. Swappable barrels is the goal here. This uses 1" #4 wood screws, so hardware costs are minimal. I have personally tested k25 and k26 and prefer to use k25 for the sake of a slightly more comfortable prime. The included barrel is chambered for 17/32 brass, but with minimal modification you can rebarrel it for whatever. Please feel free to ask me any questions if you need help or want to suggest a change. BONUS: Also included is a 1:1 scale Jolt in step format. Please make amazing things with it.
