Filament feedthrough
Description
This is a filament feedthrough in 2 versions. I needed to modify my dryer box. The standard filament outlet was for me not optimal. I wanted an extra one in a different position for the feedthrough. I created a standard feedthrough that can be fitted in a 6mm hole. I printed it in PETG because of temperature requirements (60C). I expect that it will wear out pretty quick when PETG or other filament is rubbing against PETG. That is why I created another version where you can slot in (on both sides) a piece of standard PTFE tubing to reduce friction, give better wear resistance and is easily replaceable. You can also extend the outer PTFE tube to give the filament more guidance (i.e. bigger bending radius). You cannot use the feedthrough as a bowden system replacement. The PTFE tube will be pushed out. The design of the nut for variant 1 is a bit of overkill. You can of course also use a standard M6 nut. I printed the parts with 0.1 layer height. Althoug the threads are modelled, I had to rethread the threads after printing. Sorry for the not so useful names I gave the files……
