Voron Silicone Sock Mold E3D V6/Dragon (+hints for DLP, F3D for own Logo)
Description
Thanks to Stefan/CNCKitchen for great molds and kickstart. Additional to his great video tutorial, here are some hints for both FDM and DLP printed molds: ### For FDM - use ironing (monotonic) - use sandpaper for better fit of parts to the top/bottom (Important!) - clear holes (2mm and 3mm drill) - no support needed - use 0.04 or 0.08 layer height ### For DLP - use tough resin from jamghe/anycubic (you can use normal resin but parts will break in owen) - **bake in owen at 80C for 4 hours (enough to allow curing Platinum-based silicone on resin mold surface) or use coating (e.g. epoxy)** - use magnetic bed (and lay parts flat, expect "side2" that should be printed as in my stl), no support needed - use sandpaper for better fit of parts to the top/bottom (Important!) - clear holes (2mm and 3mm drill) - don't tighten screws too much (they will creep, it's resin, yes :-) - cure for at least 6 minutes (no impact on silicone curing) ### DLP vs. FDM - plus DLP - nicer allows more details (when not coated) - plus DLP - much faster printed esp. with mono DLP printer - minus DLP - resin not allows Platinum-based silicone to be cured, forms needs to be baked, there will be some deformation of parts or coated - plus FDM - cleaner processing I would appreciate any suggestion for better resin or other experience esp. for DLP. ## UPDATE 02.11.2021 Added F3D to make it easier to place own logo (based on Stefan's .stl)
