Gravity Phone Stand and Airplane Leg Mount

Gravity Phone Stand and Airplane Leg Mount

Description

Here is a gravity phone stand that can be 3D printed. I designed this for phones to sit in horizontal/landscape mode so I can watch TV on my nightstand, set my phone up as a computer with a Bluetooth keyboard, or for what I used it for most, holding my phone while flying. It's a simple design that requires 10 2x6mm screws, 1 3x15mm bolt, and one 3mm nut (to tighten the ball socket). I use it on a Galaxy Note 10+(pictured) and a Note 20 and it works great, it will also work with smaller phones as well. The ball and socket works well to move the stand to fit your desired angle, however, it could maybe use a little more weight if you plan on leaning it more forward, or you can press/pull the base to be a little larger. I also have included a larger vertical rack and a smaller vertical rack, USE THE LARGER RACK FOR LARGER PHONES, as well as a 'strap mount' that I have used to mount to things using a Velcro strap. I travel a lot for work, and when flying, you find that your wrist gets tired holding a larger phone and if you dose off, you tend to drop your phone on the floor. I designed this to prevent that. You simply strap it on your leg using a Velcro strap or a buckle strap, I have found that the Velcro strap works better because sometimes the buckle will fail, then mount your phone in it and adjust to your viewing angle. Side Note: The leg mount that I have pictured is different than the one in the design. I increased the size of it for stability to withstand turbulence.
