Arm Rattle Fix for The Child Real Moves Plush by Mattel
Description
This is a niche Thing that will probably never serve anyone but myself. But maybe someone will get lucky and come across this! If you have a Mattel "The Child Real Moves Plush" either bought through Disney (the parks, stores or online) or the retail version available at Target (and maybe elsewhere), you may have noticed that when he raises his right arm to use the Force, his arm vibrates rather obnoxiously and not realistically. I found a simple solution by designing/printing a bushing thingy that fits over his arm and wedges in between the "shoulder" and arm to cushion it and take some of the rattle away. His arm no longer moves as high as it did...but it is miniscule. I glued it on with some CA glue (super glue), and applied a little white lithium grease to the new touch-points. If somehow this takes off, I'll take some photos of it attached and in action to show it off. I did this with the Target/retailer version, which has plush hands that I could squeeze to fit the bushing over. Not sure if the rubbery ones will squish enough for this or if it'll maybe be necessary to slice it in half to attach.
