Accessible Wallet

Accessible Wallet

Description

Update 27 NOV 21: First print looks good, but some tolerances need adjustment, and the slider/button mechanism needs to be much larger. Will make tweaks and update in a few days. I was recently diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, and have found it difficult to pull cards out of my kydex wallet. This is an "accessible wallet" for holding up to five cards. Built in port to install a Tile Mate Bluetooth tracking fob to aid in finding it if (let's face it, when) you lose it. I designed this to be easy to open with gross motor function and a minimal amount of exertion/pressure on the finger joints. You will need some superglue and 8x 3x1mm round magnets to complete this once everything is printed. I recommend an SLA printer with a "tough" resin. Assembly 1. Install magnets in chassis and top cover, remember to double check your polarity before gluing into place! 2. Apply glue to bottom lip of chassis and install bottom bumper. 3. Slide the riser arm into position, making sure it rides in the guide slot in the chassis. 4. Apply glue to inside of slider button and press install onto riser arm. 5. Put in some cards, and pop the top cover on and go!
