Arduino Altimeter
Description
17.12.2021. UPDATE: The is a 2nd set of models for those printing on an FDM. Less complex box but with added positions for screwing the cover on. For the FDM print Bezel lid case 2. Original cover was not a great fit so this is much more secure. I am working on adding the Adafruit compass and this should be an easy upgrade as it just plugs in. Also thinking of adding a volt meter to watch battery level but lower priority. Enjoy! So I decided for fun to build a altimeter for my paramotor. Its very low cost, ok its all relative! Arduino mini pro https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09GVRVD5V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Adafruit DPS310 https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/adafruit-dps310-precision-barometric-pressure-altitude-sensor-stemma-qt-qwiic Adafruit 1.69 display https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/adafruit-1-69-280x240-round-rectangle-color-ips-tft-display-st7789 9V USB rechargeable battery Battery clip and a basic case. The case is very basic and I´m sure someone can do it better. I wanted to keep it as small as possible whilst using standard buy parts, no custom board. The mini pro is great for this as long as you have the program tool. Pinning: Battery RAW to the mini RAW pin (let the mini do the 3.3V regulation) Note Positive goes through a switch GND to Neg I2C is A4 A5 You can use the serial then use 7 for CS but makes wiring harder! 8 TFT DC 9 TFT RST 10 TFT CS 11 TFT SI 12 SO (if your using serial for sensor) 13 TFT CK Thats it! 3.3V for sensor and screen from the mini V pin as its regulated 3.3V
