Wilton Icing Piper Parts
Description
These are replacement parts are for a Wilton icing piper (for cake decorating). PRINT SETTINGS ============== *All parts are printed oriented as shown above INNER PLATE: - Print with zigzag supports, center bump facing upwards. Will require removal of small ring support from bottom (where screw heads are located). THUMB PRESS: - Print with spring keeper cone towards heated bed, using zigzag supports. Will require removal of small flat support section under thumb area. - Hole for metal tube (from old part) may require slight reaming on larger opening. Once tube looks like it will almost fit, heat gently and then press into THUMB PRESS. - Lever can be installed through slot in handle with spring compressed (do not remove top part). If lever is too tight to fit into upper handle hole, may require slight trimming of sharp points. TOP BUTTON: - can be printed without supports but you may wish to use a brim. Some post cleaning will be required. Alternatively, you may want to print this in a lower resolution (0.1mm) as I found it left a fairly sharp circumference edge. To install, heat metal rod slightly and press the button on until stop. DISASSEMBLY ============ If replacing the top button: - Pull off old button - Heat rod & press on new button For other parts, start with: - Pull lower suction part and washer off metal rod * Note that the suction end is smaller than the top button end, which prevents the rod from sliding out the bottom even with the top button removed. - Slide the rod down out of the top handle section. If replacing the inner plate: - Unscrew 3x Phillips screws, remove screw cap and inner plate - Install is reverse of removal If replacing the thumb press lever: - Compress the spring under the lever with a small screwdriver, etc. - Turn the lever sideways and slide out hole. - Removed metal bushing from old part - Heat metal bushing and press into large end of lever hole (I placed the bushing onto a metal surface, heated with a lighter and pressed the lever onto it) - Rest of install is reverse of removal
