Cam Cleat for "RAD Cycle Products Rail Mount Bike and Ladder Lift"
Description
This part is intended to be used to modify the RAD bike lift system (as seen here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VOX1XU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The original product is cheap ($35) but has a deficient rope-locking mechanism that abrades the lifting rope and, after not too long, will not take in slack in order to lower the bike. Modification of the original product includes drilling out the axle of both pulleys and of the locking mechanism, and then installing this part over-top of the main body and reinstalling the pulleys. Additional hardware needed include two M5 x 40mm bolts with M5 washers and lock nuts (for new pulley axles) and one M4 x 45mm bolt with M4 washers and lock nut (for cam axle). Enjoy!
