Modular Propagation Tray for Gardeners
Description
Take your gardening to the next level! This is a modular propagation tray for the gardening enthusiast, the tray can contain up to 20 cells for you to propagate plants. Each cell has a hole at the bottom with which you can easily push out both the soil and plant to pop them into the ground easily. Replace both your foam, and thin sheet plastic trays with this propagation tray, it will last you up to 5 seasons after which the plastic may no longer be food safe. I recommend printing this in PET-G rather than PLA as PLA is not food safe (dependent upon country specific food-safety regulations). PETG is food safe (at least in Europe) therefore I recommend that, it is also UV resistant meaning that I is far less likely to bend and warp due to exposure to sun light compared to PLA. As mentioned; the tray can contain 20 cells (4x5 grid) the modularity of this design allows you to group plants into cell compartments. The zip file contains all necessary files for printing this collection of tray and cells, it contains: * A 2x1 * A 2x2 * A 4x1 * A 4x2 * A 4x5 * A 5x1 * A 5x2 * A 5x4 * A tray on which to place cells Here is an example tray that you could put together: - A 2x5 cell compartment of Kale, - A 1x4 of Peas - A 1x4 of Beetroot, and - A 2x1 of Coriander The combinations are endless, and when popping them in the ground, you can simply lift up the compartment of the specific vegetable group, leaving the others for later plantings. Remember, if this print was helpful to your gardening; maybe it saved you time, money or perhaps you never have to buy a propagation tray again, then leave a tip. The design process takes time, revisions are also time consuming and any little but helps :) Pictures of propagation are to-come in the following growing season, the design was finished in the winter I thus have nothing to propagate.. :D
