Accessibility Cup Handle
Description
The Wife of a friend of mine has Multiple Sclerosis. She has a hard time gripping standard cup handles and has gotten used to using cups with a wide base for added stability. A couple of months ago she got a new wheelchair that had a cup holder on it, but the cups that she was used to using would not fit in the cup holder that came with her wheelchair. I designed this handle to have good sized grips for her hands and increased stability to reduce accidental spills with the large footprint of the bottom. The upper portion (white in the photos) was printed in PLA 0.35mm nozzle .175 layer height 80% infill The handles (orange in the photos) were printed in NinjaFlex 0.6mm nozzle .3mm layer height 80% infill. you will need to print 1 upper and 2 handles. The handles are identical/interchangeable per side. This was designed for cup that has a diameter (top) of 80mm and the taper angle is 4 degrees. The handles are 135mm tall. There is a link to the specific cup this was modelled for included in a text file in the download section. I have included an STL of the assembled item incase you want to print it out of one material. I have included the Fusion 360 file if you would like to edit it..
