Waggler
Description
--This is an accessory for my Motivator. It converts rotary to linear motion. It can be used for a variety of applications including rocking developer chemical trays for photographers or chemistry. It can also wave a small flag! Make up a task for it and I'll add it to the list. --All holes are printed to accept M3 or M4 bolts. I screwed my version to a piece of 1/4" plywood to keep it from sliding around. The output disk that connects to the motor's output shaft has three holes located 7, 9 and 11mm from center so you can choose the amount of rocking for the output gear. The waggler base is slotted so that the output gear tilt can be centered better. The uprights are fastened to the base with 4: M3 x 12mm flat head bolts. They will need a pair of 16mm od x 5mm id bearings; flange bearings are ideal if you can find any. You will need a short length of 5mm dia shaft to connect the output gear to the uprights and bearings. I hold everything together with a pair of 5mm id shaft collars. --Here's a short video of the thing in action: https://www.flickr.com/photos/steamboat_ed/51729947413/in/dateposted-public/
