R2D2 Battery Cable Knurled Connector (Reworked for Stainless Braided Supply Line Hose)
Description
I reworked Mike Baddeley's (https://www.thingiverse.com/mrbaddeley/designs) BattCableKnurl.stl file to now fit a standard home center stainless steel braided supply line hose. I added inserts to allow the cut hose end to be secured to the 3D printed part. I bought a 60' Stainless Steel Braided Supply Line for a refrigerator ice/water supply into four 12" pieces. I then trimmed off any fraying with a heavy duty shear and then glued the 3D printed parts to the cut end of the hose using gel CA glue and a CA accelerator. I think they came out pretty nice. Now all I have to do is add the Neodymium Magnets and attach them to my Astromech!
