Ender 3 Filament Guide HD
Description
This was designed for the Ender 3 Pro with the filament spool mounted on top. However, it can be used for any 20mm x 20mm or 20mm x 40mm extrusion because it is held on using two M4 t-nuts and two M4 x 18mm screws. The hardware I used is linked below (No Affiliation). I did not include a gap to remove or add the filament line after it has been installed in the extruder. This is because it would lead to the risk of the filament line escaping from the partial through hole during retractions. It is also because the gap does not add any benefit during filament changes has it has to pass though to hole regardless. So I believe its just additional risk of the filament dislodging from the guide if it has a gap. It also has to be rotated in Cura so the flat bottom is on the build plate. This is due to my error when designing in the CAD program. This filament guide may NOT need supports when printing but I have not tested this. I have been using this design for over a year and it has been working well. I exported this using high settings in an attempt to eliminate artifacts during slicing. WARNING: If the filament guide is attached in the same location as the picture the Z-Axis will crash into it. For maximum clearance, attached the filament guide to the top 20mm x 20mm extrusion. I lowered the filament guide to accommodate a future LED light.
