NEMA 56 Motor Parts

I bought a for parts used NEMA 56J frame 2hp electrical motor that was missing some parts so I modified others and made some new ones myself. I'll be upfront saying that when I needed the fan and fan cover I looked at a lot of designs around the web & here and downloaded copies of any that may have worked. One of the downloads ended up being close enough and I modified those 2 parts to work with my motor. I just don't remember where I got that them though. If you see enough similarities or think you know the origin of those two parts let me know and I'll give them credit. The fan is designed for the 5/8" shaft on a 56 motor and mine had a through hole in it to accommodate a cotter pin. If you are printing this for your motor you *need* to take shrinkage into account or it won't fit on the shaft. Go ahead ask me how I know this ;) The fan shroud works as is but this is my first pass version and was to tall for my taste so I made another one that was ~ 7/8" shorter but I either forgot to save it or lost it somewhere. So here is the original one, if it's problem you can Z scale in Cura and use a hot screwdriver to massage the holes. The last item here is the motor service plate, mine did not have one so I whipped a quick one up as well as a gasket one under it to out of TPU since I want to make sure I keep the grind dust out of it. I also made a grinder drive wheel and I'm putting that on it's own page.
