Case for Motion and Temperature / Humidity Sensors for Home Automation
Description
This is a case for combining a PIR motion sensor and an AM2302 temperature/humidity sensor together with a WEMOS D1 Mini module to make an environment sensor for use in home automation. For reference, the specific components I used are: [AM2302](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XBVR532/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1#HLCXComparisonWidget_feature_div) [HC-SR501](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQQAHTB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) [D1 Mini](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PF3NK12/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The case relies on a friction fit to hold the sensor plate onto the case body. I removed the header pins and soldered directly to the the components to keep the unit as thin as I could. If you want more room for motion sensor header pins, you can increase the value of "side_z" in the parameters spreadsheet contained in the FreeCAD file and re-export the STL or AMF files. You'll still need to remove the pins from the AM2302 circuit board, since they are mounted to the front side of the board.
