Airsoft Suppressor for Tachyon V3
Description
Disclaimer, I have only printed this once and I did need to do a little bit of filing to get everything to fit. That said, it fit surprisingly well for a first try! I have adjusted the length of the screw to be 2mm longer than what is in the picture, so if you spotted the shim you won't need to worry about that. I recently got a Tachyon V3 and I wanted to have a more aesthetic barrel end, didn't really like the shape of the sensor too much. This suppressor may appear overly complicated, however it requires zero glue, zero additional hardware, and you can totally customize the sleeve to suit your likings. In the picture, I simply used black hockey tape to finish it off. All of the parts are designed to be printed on end (rotated -90, #sorrynotsorry) with no supports. I printed the screw as solid and the main body with 1.5mm skin to reinforce the threads. The screw will fit to a 19mm outer barrel. The whole idea of the design is that the Tachyon sensor is actually what is holding the whole thing on. The screw is what aligns everything and clamps it all together. To assemble, make sure you test fit everything first of course. Insert the sensor and feed the cable through the small hole in the end. You can also add the screw but don't fully tighten. Fit the assembly to the barrel and tighten the sensor - make sure it's seated correctly. Then you insert the front body and the pin, and tighten the screw to clamp it all together. Once that's all nice and snug, simply slide the sleeve over it all and you're done! Additional note, this pairs beautifully with my picatinny cable clips! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5151881
