Approach signal
Description
- NEW:- I added a Servo-Version mast and basepate. The Servo will supplant the "Umlenkscheibe", therefor the hole in the mast´s foot is adjusted for micro-servos. If the servo is assambled to the mast you may want to add the approach signal into your model railroad ... this will most easily be managed from the undersurface. To fix it in position I constructed the baseplate to be slipped beween the horizontal mast platform and the upperside of the hole. - END of NEW - inspired by Semaphore_Signal https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2319608 I tried on a Semaphore+Light appraoach signal, which shows the locomotive driver what´s to be expected at the Semaphore Main Signal. The lights change between y,y and gn,gn by moving the micro-LED-illuminated lanterns up/down mechanichal as does the disc. For easy painting the disc´s black circle is hightened. Prime the disc face white, paint the orange plague, after good drying sand off the white for the black circle. Print it all black, for yellow light give a drop of yellow resin for green light a drop of green or transparent resin in to the holes. (transparent to green, paint with edding marker) All holes have to be redrilled. To fix the "Umlenkscheibe" assamble it into the mast´s foothole drill a vertical hole through the axes rear and set a splint. To get it moving you´l need some thin hard wire for connecting the lanterns and the disc to the "Umlenkscheibe". This is a bit of tricky, but it is not impossible. The holes are adjusted, so all merge at the "Umlenk..." which moves the wires accuratley the distance it takes to switch the colors. My first try took me thee days, my second only 6 houres for funktionable assembly. good luck! N-scale = 1/160; black resin please show me your makes! good questions will be answerd (en,ger)
