Film Scanner for CANON (Full-Frame dSLR)

Description

NEGATIVE / FILM SCANNER for full-frame CANON dSLR This design adds a customized mount that is adhered (superglue) to @tylerhovi 's Negative 35mm Film Scanning Holder Carrier. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4672950 The mount is specific for a full-frame CANON dSLR and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro Lens with an ET-73 lens hood. (This is the included lens hood. All L glass include a lens hood.) I chose to purchase a no-name aftermarket (Haoge) hood from Amazon so that I could "fix" the parts together with foam and gaffer tape. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07GFGSDXK/ The aftermarket hood doesn't slide perfectly onto the lens bayonet mount, but it ends up working "better" because it allows fine adjustment of the frame. This mount allows the lens hood to sit flush and thus parallel to the film focal plane. I was unable to get the film roller to work in @tylerhovi's design. I cannot try bigger O-rings, because once the two pieces are tapped together, they are never coming apart. I just advance the film by hand. Shooting Manual with Canon Speedlite 580EX at 1/200s sync 1/64 power at f/8 ISO100 works well. Stofen Omnibounce and piece of paper diffusion. Have been trying to overexpose slightly to preserve detail in dark areas while being careful to avoid blowing highlights.
