Zip-Tie Customizable Headset Microphone Boom

Zip-Tie Customizable Headset Microphone Boom

Description

I modified the base to use a zip-tie because double sided tape is very expensive where I live. I also changed the microphone cable route at the base to avoid the 90º turn that added unnecessary strain to the cable. The mic boom is quite long to reach all the way in front of the mouth, and the mic holder has a >90º turn made to the original SCAD file. The current STL uses press-fitted 7x1mm magnets and 5mm wide zip-ties. Both the SCAD and FreeCAD files are available so you can modify them easily. Notes: - If your customized design ends up with a bump on the back of the mic holder, you may want to use your slicer's feature to sink the model below the surface of the bed slightly so it sits flat. - You may need to use a brim for adhesion.
