Celestron Vixen-Style Dovetail Cable Guide
Description
This cable guide creates a firm pressure fit on Celestron Vixen-style dovetails. The thickest USB cables I own (rather thick 5m USB 3 cables) just fit through the side opening, making them difficult to slip out of that area in normal use. You can load thicker cables or cables tied/strapped together from the front or rear. Note: The attachment to the dovetail is not quite wide enough for a Explore Scientific "Vixen-style" dovetails, even when the protector plate that comes with them has been removed. At least this is true for my Explore Scientific ED80 triplet. Similarly, the guide fits Apertura telescopes Vixen-style dovetails, but the fit is not tight. It will slide along the dovetail. For either model, resizing slightly along the X axis will produce a proper fit, but I made this specifically for my Celestron C6, for which the fit is perfect.
