Icom LMR/PMR Mic clip Bracket
Description
This is the first thing I have designed. It is an adapter bracket to mount a hand mic clip for this series radio. This may fit other models as it was also tested on an Icom IC-F121s VHF radio. I used an Icom IC-F320s to measure the screw holes to mount it. It is intended to screw to the trunnion (Mounting bracket)holes. The F320/F320s and the F420/F420s should all fit. This was designed in Tinker cad and due to the way it measures object distances, the below dimensions match. The hole distances are measured from the outer edges and not the centers of the holes. It has a pilot holes for M4 screws that match the trunnion holes on the radio. They take a standard M4 Vesa (LCD mount) screw. The screws I used are M4x12. The middle pilot hole is meant to interface with a mic clip having 17mm spaced holes. (also measured from the outside. The eBay URL is below but if you find "Workman MH2 CB/10 Meter/Ham Radio Microphone Hanger Holder Mic Clip" elsewhere, they should work. The bracket is 7mm tall to accommodate a single 8mm long sheet-metal screws included with the mic clip. There is a relief trench carved out to match the detail on the F320s Radio. The mic clip should also ground to the radio. This will enable scanning if the radio is programmed to do so when the mic is hung-up. This requires an M4 screw is used in one of the mic-clip holes. I have added a 2nd pilot for those that do not want the mic-clip to ground to the radio. The object was designed to mount to the Left side of the radio. There is a Text Block set to C2ALL that you can replace with your call-sign. Required 1x – Mic clip 2x – M4x12 Machine screws - 1x – 4mm wide x 7mm Sheet-metal screw- *(use two if clip-ground is not required) URLs: 10-Pack mic clip that fit - https://www.ebay.com/itm/282580034346
