Grado-Style Headphone Cup v1.1

Grado-Style Headphone Cup v1.1

Description

Couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so made my own. Designed to friction-fit 46mm drivers. Some sanding may be required, or you can scale up the print slightly. Friction fits my SR80 drivers exactly if I remove all the glue from the removal process. Speaking of which, removing the drivers from your headphones is a destructive, non-reversible process. I take no responsibilities for damage done to your audio gear. It's all simple shapes with no 90 degree overhangs, so it should print fine without supports. Prints perfectly on my Ender 5. I printed in PLA because this is a prototype for measurements for final product probably in wood. For permanent installation, ABS or PETG is probably better. Infill and material will probably have an effect on the sound, since the drivers are friction fit and the material is the only resonance chamber. Before you ask, I've tried woodfill PLA, it sounds exactly like regular PLA. Something more dense would probably be better. I bevelled the inner edge with the overhang for easier printing without overhang, which isn't a problem since I wasn't planning on fitting a grill. Plan accordingly if you plan on fitting a grill.
