ESP32 NodeMCU power consumption meter
Description
Measuring the power output of my old ferrarismeter using an ESP32, TRCT5000 pulse counter, ESPHome, and HomeAssistant. Additional sensors are a DHT-22 for humidity en temperature and a cheap PIR sensor for motion detection. The sum of all components together is roughly 10,- euros. The ESPHome yaml configuration can be found here: https://github.com/jellespijker/home-assistant-config/blob/main/ESPHome/hallway.yaml Couple this sensor with Home Assistant and you have a smart energy meter.
