Ender 3 Direct Drive Cable Lock

Ender 3 Direct Drive Cable Lock

Description

I recently printed something to move my extruder motor on my Ender 3 to the print head, thus making it a direct drive unit. After doing some cable management on the back side of the printer I was unhappy with the space left behind from the stock extruder mount. Not to mention that I was using a zip-tie to secure the hot end and extruder cables with strain relief for the head to move freely. So of course... I made something to print. :) This cable lock can be printed upside down without supports. Once printed, align the cables with the cutout in the cable lock. Next, align 4 pegs with the screw holes for the stock extruder location. Press the center circle from cable lock into the large center circle from stock extruder location until cable lock is flush with the mount. It is meant to be a press fit so it may be a snug fit. This is to ensure the cables are held securely.
