Mars Pro Ventplug
Description

No more resin smell!
Make your Mars Pro perfectly odor tight. Even when using low odor resins, you will notice some smell, especially while printing. The carbon filter in the Mars Pro doesn't do a lot when it's new but after a few hours of printing it will do nothing at all. So for all of you who don't have a garage or hobby room that they can stink up I created this sealed Ventplug for the Mars Pro. Together with the rubber on the lid id gets the print chamber as airtight as can be. What you need: - Ventplug Print - Old bike inner tube - Knife/scissors - Glue - 4 Screws M3x5mm (or maybe 6mm) Instructions Take off the Mars Pros rear cover and tilt it on the side, remove the 4 Screws that hold the carbon filter in and loosen the 4 screws holding the bottom plate quite some (that way you have enough room to take out the filter). Also remove the little 50mm filter fan. Save the fan for another project and throw away the carbon filter for good. Easiest way for me was to cut a piece of roughly the right size out of the old inner-tube and glue it to the print. After letting the glue settle a bit it was quite easy to take a really sharp knife and cut away the excess around the plug. Then just screw it into the old fan screwholes.

Et Voila, absolutely no smell.
When I need to open the lid (for removing a print) I just open the window, but honestly even then the smell is much more subtle than the fan blowing it around.
Happy smell free Printing!
