Simple Pen Spindle Turntable Laser Engraving

Simple Pen Spindle Turntable Laser Engraving

Description

I needed a simple way to engrave bamboo pens with my horizontal/vertical laser engraver (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4934772). I was originally using my self-centering turntable (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4958047), but smaller objects were more of a pain on it. I will probably eventually get a 1-13mm drill chuck & mount it to the motor, but this works well for now. I also needed this to have a little height to it since my laser is about 300mm off the table which is the reason for the extra height. I put 3 big rocks int the corners of the base of the stool so it does not move. 6 - M5x20mm Button Head Screws (Holds Legs) 6 - M5 Locknuts 6 - M3x10mm Socket Head Screws (PenSpindleMotorMount & PenSpindle) 3 - M3x12mm Socket Head Screws (StoolBase to Top_Stool) 2 - M3x35mm Socket Head Screws (Standoff connections) 7 - M3 Locknuts The printed parts will fit on a 220mm print bed. I used 20% infill & 3 Perimeters for most parts. The **PenSpindle_V2.stl** I would increase to 50% infill & 5 perimeters. You will probably need to adjust the height of **Standoff_1.stl** if it is not the same height as the nema17 I am using. My motor measures 22.60mm thick. If you use a different motor, you will need longer M3 screws & scale the **Standoff_1.stl** in the vertical axis for size you are using. If you are using a thicker motor, you could also put M3 nuttraps in the standoffs so you would not need longer screws. I included source files in fusion 360, step & sketchup so you can modify to your needs.
