Li-Ion battery powered LED night lamp
Description
This is a simple battery powered LED lamp. This is my first FreeCAD design and that's why the top part is an odd looking flower-like thing ;) The base is designed to fit two 18650 Li-Ion parallel cells (I got mine from a laptop battery) but one can be sufficient. They are USB charged using TP4056 module. Other than this, a 15x21 mm rocker switch, 5 mm LED, 150 ohms resistor and some wires are required. I added a small heatsink on the TP4056 package. This IC generates some heat while charging the battery (not enough to affect the PLA). TP4056 module PCB is kept in place with hot glue. The bottom cover and the cylindrical tower attach to the base using 6 screws (2.5x20 mm, countersunk wood screws). The top part (night_lamp-lower_petals.stl) must be printed with supports. I even broke some of the "petals" while trying to remove it from printer bed, but I glued them with cyanoacrylate glue. The 9 petals can be printed (upper_petals-petals_3dp.stl) or cut from acrylic with CNC. The G-code I provided (upper_petals-cnc.nc) is suitable for CNC3018 machine, with 3 mm flat end mill, using 4 mm acrylic sheet (Plexiglas). Nevertheless, the battery containing base can be used for other projects.
