Five33 Footy TPU Arm Guards
Description
TPU arm guards for the Five33 Footy. They fit so snug you'd almost think they were glued on. Two variants: Minimal: 2mm thick, prevents the ends of the carbon arms getting scuffed & damaged. Puck: Large circular shape with compressible air pockets because you print it with 10% infill, helping prevent the carbon & motor from taking the full brunt of hard crashes. They're designed using the original cad file for the arms so they're about as perfect a fit as can be, this perfection comes at a very small cost - you need to REMOVE EVERY SINGLE STRAND OF SUPPORT MATERIAL, and you'll have to take the motors off the arms to install the guards. Printing instructions: TPU 0.2mm layer height 3 perimeters 10% infill Support everywhere Minimal version takes about 45 minutes each, Puck verison takes about 80 minutes each. Removing all the support material is a must. Direct downloads from my website: http://www.haku.co.uk/3D/Five33_Footy_Arm_Guard-Minimal.stl http://www.haku.co.uk/3D/Five33_Footy_Arm_Guard-Puck.stl Installation instructions: 1) Unscrew motor from arm. 2) Make sure guard orientation is correct - the print is designed so that there's a small cutaway on the top to accommodate the wires coming directly out of the motor. If the guard is upside down it may put unwanted pressure on the wires. 3) Push the guard down onto the arm with a bit of brute force. 4) Put the motor back on. 5) Go fly :) You can sell prints of this, but don't overcharge, and link back here.
