Customizable SKADIS Universal Hook Set
Description
This is a fully customizable, parametric version of the excellent [IKEA SKADIS Universal Hook](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853261/) set by Chris Schneider ([CSD Salzburg](https://www.thingiverse.com/csd_salzburg)). It's a hook for mounting accessories to the IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard. The original design has been used for dozens of different accessories, check [the original's Remixes](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853261/remixes) for an overview. Separating the hook from the object will let many objects print without support, and the hook can be printed in a different layer orientation than the object (printing it sideways will give greater strength). I made a customizable version of the Universal SKADIS Hook because the hook will not fit everywere equally, because of different tolerances in the models. Sometimes it's easier to quickly modify and print a new hook than to change the model. It's also a good base for starting your own SKADIS projects. The series contains four hooks ("Universal", "Container", "Shelf", "Blank") for different mounting situations - Universal hook - For heavier accessories that need a thick baseplate - The baseplate thickness is 5mm - One uptick hook (top), one peg (bottom) - Container hook - For containers with thin walls that need vertical stability - Thin baseplate, 1mm thickness - Two upticks to hold the object stable - Shelf hook - For flat containers that attach with several hooks - Thin baseplate, 1mm thickness - One uptick - Blank hook - Base for further modifications, or for gluing things to it I've uploaded STLs for hooks with 4.5mm width, as in the original, and 4mm. It's an example of the kind of change that take five seconds to customize. This is a customizer. The geometry is fully parametric, all aspects can be changed. You can use it online to generate STLs, or you can download [OpenSCAD](https://openscad.org) and customize it there. The code is built around a simple build plan engine, if you read the code you'll see how it works.
