Durst L1200 Filter Holder

Durst L1200 Filter Holder

Description

My Durst L1200 enlarger came without an accessory filter holder. The filter holder usually has a red filter to aid in composition while printing B&W. Print 2 and sandwich a filter sheet between them. Punch through the holes with an awl. The holes have clearance for 4-40 screws. Depending on your printer, it might not need a nut on the other side. To install this in the enlarger, you need a metal rod. 1/4" is fine, 2-3" long. Drill and tap one end for a 4-40 screw. The other end needs a flat ground in it. You can get away without a flat but there is a chance it will wiggle loose over time. I added some washers so it would swing easier. You can put a couple of them for different filters on the same rod. Just space them apart with washers or nuts so they don't hit.
