Sleepless Flight Ship from Destiny
Description
This is a model based on the "Sleepless Flight" ship from Destiny. This model is best printed with SLA, but can be printed in FDM as well. However, if the model is printed in FDM, at the current scale, most printers will be unable to handle the thinner edges and points. This will show up in your slicer preview as the edges that are too small will not populate in the layer view. So, if you want to print this in FDM, I would recommend scaling up. Alternatively, you could allow the finer edges to not be printed and the model should still look just fine. This model is designed to be printed in two halves with the split face down on the bed. It can be printed with minimal supports. I would recommend adding support blockers around the intake details on the side of the ship, otherwise the intakes will get filled in. Most printers should be able to print that feature without supports. Currently, the half with the alignment block would have to be printed with a support structure under the split face. Soon, I intend to revise the model to have a hole for the alignment block in both halves and add a file for the block separately.
