Recumbent Lion Bust with flush back for Walls
Description
Extracted a bust of the Recumbent Lion statue, using a 3d scan, and gave the back of the head a flat surface for four purposes: ease of 3d printing, mounting on a wall, ease of latex moldmaking, and ease of concrete casting. I usually use Fusion 360 for plane cuts, but this model is so intricate I had to learn Meshmixer a bit to do the plane cut after the rough extraction and sculpting in Blender. This was my first Blender edit, and it was really quite easy on a 12 year old computer lol, so open it up and play around with it sometime soon if you've been considering it lol. I put it off for months and wish I didn't It should need minimal supports, if any unless you change the orientation significantly. I'm not concerned with stepping on the nose, since I'm enlarging it so much and using a 0.12mm resolution. I am resizing it just under 600% on a CR-10 V2 to do quite a large version and didn't want to wait 4 days before posting this, so somebody might very well finish printing this redesign of mine before I do. Hope to see your makes! Tip me if you love it! I'll take paid commissions on similar 3d design work such as this also.
