Suzuki Swift Sport 2018+ ZC33S Key Insert Holder Card
Description
My previous car (Renault) had a large card style wireless key which could *just* fit in my wallet. After getting my Suzuki Swift Sport I got annoyed pretty quickly of having to carry the large keyfob around, particularly as the key itself isn't needed (unless in emergency anyway). I soon realised that the wireless insert inside the plastic housing could easily be removed when splitting the fob open to change the battery. Dimensions are about that of a business card (90mm x 55mm), and it is 8mm thick. The keyfob insert fits in quite easily, and while it doesn't stick or click in, it sits fine and is easy enough to remove (although I have a thin piece of double sided tape at the bottom as I shouldn't ever need to remove it). I have tried making it a bit thinner, however it makes the insert sit out and is no longer flush. I also thought about making a lid that slides over the top, however this will make it even thicker. You'll need a wallet with a section thick enough for it though (I keep it with my business cards as you can see in the photo). Please note this will not work in a wallet that has RFID shielding. I've included the Fusion 360 file too in case you want to have a play around with dimensions etc. I don't know much about 3D printers but have given the settings I used for the final version, however it is a very simple shape so I imagine you could use any settings or filament type. Hopefully someone else can get as much use out of this as me (and not have to carry around a huge key)!
