Rigid HeroMe 5 Direct Drive Thumb Mount Ender 3 Dual Gear Extruder
Description
Direct drive for red aluminum dual gear extruder. Fits Ender 3 and Ender 3 V2. I had been using the Direct Drivinator with Hero Me 5 before this but found that I was getting a lot of flex when the extruder pushed filament forward. This resulted in blobby prints. This design is totally rigid and produces no blobbies. Added thumb brace so when you press the lever on the extruder you don't have to put pressure on the rest of the print head. Added bracing so that it is much more rigid and you can print it with less than 100% infiill to get lighter a print head. Removed extra material that was not adding to rigidity. I am using it with Hero Me 5 ducts. This might work with Hero Me 6, I haven't tried it but visually it looks like it should fit.
