Semiconductor cube III-V compound
Description
This is a 3D-printable III-V compound semiconductor cube that shows the crystal orientations. I have always wanted a solid model of this cube with the orientations indented and I finally made one using AutoDesk Inventor. The uploaded STL file is a 10x10x10 mm model, but I recommend scaling it up at least x6 so that the crystal orientations are clearly legible. The photos of the cube that I printed are 80x80x80mm and they came out very nicely indeed! I have also added the .ipt file where you can add your name or any other personal text if you like. The photo showing my blue cube has my name on it, for example. This is my first Thing! that I've designed by myself and printed, so please do let me know if there are some concerns while printing it. I'm happy to receive any feedback. Hope this model helps and brings out joy (and the nerd in you :D). Looking forward to seeing many prints and/or remixes of this design. P.S. I recommend using supports for this print, but you can tell me if it works well or not without supports as well.
