Driving Light lens retaining ring (8.5 inch)
Description
The actual light that this is for is: Kings 8.5" Laser MKII Driving Lights But it may be useful for other brands of driving lights too... so I thought it would be worth sharing. I removed the 'lens/cover glass' to dry out the light as there was moisture inside the light. When it came to reassembling it, I couldn't for the life of me find the retaining ring!! So... I removed the other one, measured it up, and made a replica using Tinkercad. It fitted perfectly... except I had to buy slightly longer screws as the ring is slightly thicker than the original. Print in it the orientation of the STL file and use supports to the buildplate as the screw holes are recessed and will fail without supports. I printed it at .2 and 100% infill for strength. I'm very happy with the result. You barely notice the difference between the two lights.
