Helping-Hands Remix
Description
Printing on its side did not work for me so I rotated 90 degrees and trimmed 1/2 mm from the bottom to make it sit perfectly flat. Prusa slicer would not attach the brims to the objects - minor gap - even when I disabled anti-elephant-foot setting so I added brims to the parts before slicing. My 0,45 mm brims remove very easily - I pulled them off with my fingernail. This approach requires no supports and no sanding. I wanted to screw these to a spot on my soldering work station that is about 10mm thick so that is why I made the screw-on base. Otherwise you can use bases others have already made in other remixes. I include the bits without brims also if adding them in your slicer app works good for you. Added Bonus: if you go to Tinkercad and search for Helping Hands with Screw-On Base you can edit these bits any way you want. Tip: I printed mine in ABS. If they wear and become loose fitting over time then I can brush some ABS glue onto the balls to make them tighter again. Hatchbox ABS, 240 C, 94 C, 0.15mm layer, 30 percent infill for all parts worked good for me
