Aquila X2 Microswiss Direct Drive X-Endstop bumper (no extra hardware needed)
Description
This is my first public model! I created this bumper because the Microswiss Direct Drive kit doesn’t have a tab to hit the X endstop on my Aquila X2, and when you home your printer, it will strain itself being unable to reach the end stop switch due to the belt housing. I saw some people solving this by taking off the belt housing on the left side, but I thought there should be a better way. No extra mounting hardware needed! Utilizes the original 2 self tapping nozzle shell housing screws that come with the printer! The bumper is long enough to keep the nozzle head of the printer slightly over the plate by 2 millimeters, and when set to the max Z value, the extruder is still over the build plate. So you aren’t losing any build volume on the edges with this piece. Designed for Aquila X2 (may be compatible with Ender 3v2) (note: look at print settings first, remix as you desire!).
