Ender 3 Fan Duct + Direct Drive + Cable Chain + BL-Touch + Lights
Description
This is a bunch of remixes so that the Ender 3 can have everything I wanted at the same time: 1. A good fan duct that can hold 2x 5015 fans. I've tried others and they where too flimsy 2. A direct drive extruder using stock parts only 3. A drag chain for X as I had failed prints due to cables binding 4. A CR/BL touch mount (this mounts either) 5. An LED light 6. Threaded inserts - not self-tapping screws into plastic The downside of this is that you reduce the X-axis to 188mm, 20mm is due to the extruder motor, 12mm is due to the CR/BL touch. I have printed and fitted all parts and can confirm that they all work together nicely. Note: The Satsana duct requires threaded inserts (M3x4.6x6 and M3x4.6x4 link below to buy). The holes are perfectly sized to push the inserts in using a soldering iron on medium. Note: I've altered the air path on the Satsana duct a little to avoid blowing on the thermister and throwing-off the PID tuning. Note: The cable chain links are lighter weight than the originals, but are compatible. Assembly note: Insert a velcro tie in the top of the direct drive brack BEFORE installing the stepper motor. Assembly note: A soldering iron is required to press the v-roller bearings into place nicely, and for the threaded inserts.
