DS8, 2x8mm film splitter / cutter 16mm to 2 x 8 mm cine film
Description
This is cine film cutter, for cutting regular double 8 (2x8) or double super 8 (ds8) cine film. Tested with PETG, 16mm film is cutted to 7,94mm and 8,06mm. (0,06mm error) Into two "down" parts you have to put shaving blade (Stainless Steel Double Edge Blade). And you just push your film trought this cutter. (in direction by the arrow). Emulsion should be facing down (not to the blade) to avoid scratches. I reccomand you before using it for your film to test it with some poor piece of film to make sure, that cutter is actually cutting how it should. I reccomand you to print the "down" parts how it is on the picture. (This got me the qualitty best results).
