IKEA Antilop Highchair DIY footrest clamp.

IKEA Antilop Highchair DIY footrest clamp.

Description

I am a bit of a DIY'er at heart, so couldn't face spending $20 on a ready made footrest for the IKEA Antilop highchair, so decided to spend $40 on some wood, clearcoat, and printing filament so I could make my own. This oversized behemoth, is a clamp to support the wood plank acting as a footrest, and is easily height adjustable with the 1/4-20 hardware used to attach it to the legs. Print two of these, one for each leg. Buy some wood, and drill, cut, sand and seal it so your baby's feet don't end up getting slivers, to prevent them crying more than they already do. It uses four each 1/4-20 x 1" bolts, and nuts. The wood I used was 4" x 3/4" Poplar, which I had left over from another project, but you can use whatever you deem suitable. The photo of the actual print was my first version, where I made a mistake on the angle of the top, so has a wedge installed to correct it. The STL uploaded has been corrected to be printed in one piece.
