Advanced Armaments Shield Generator for OSLRP
Description
Generic Shield Generator prop for Orion Sphere LRP (http://www.orionspherelrp.co.uk). Basic ring design, made from two shells that should have enough space to contain an Arduino Nano for lighting effects. There is a hole to place a button on it, and the two shells screw together. Orion Sphere LRP is a science fiction live roleplay game that run events in the UK. Players take on the role of starship crews, companies and research institutes, as one of a host of alien species and in one of four competing Factions. The central hex grid slots into the top layer, and if you print it in transparent filament can be illuminated by some addressable LEDs (such as Adafruit Neopixels). Alternatively, just leave it out and point the LEDs out the holes. Everything is designed to be printed in a 10cm cube build area, although you can enlarge the whole thing if you have a bigger printer. Print with the inside edge as the base on the two shells, and you shouldn't need supports (although a brim is recommended). There are 3 flat areas on the back with holes to attach a metal belt loop or other attachment point. Please share any makes or painted versions you have, and feel free to remix your own versions.
