Ratrig VC3 RPi 7" touchscreen and RPi mount

Ratrig VC3 RPi 7" touchscreen and RPi mount

Description

This is specifically designed to mount the Raspberry Pi 7" touchscreen with a Raspberry Pi to the right side of a Ratrig V-core 3 3D printer. It replaces the upper hinge and is also secured by a tight fit onto the upper corner plate bolts. A small notch will need to be made in the side panel near the hinge to route cables through into the enclosure. I use a length of trunking to run the cables from front to back in the printer, though they could be run down the inside of the front extrusion and under the printer. Use a high quality data rated USB-A to USB-C cable (I used a 2 meter cable, max 5 meters) to go between the Pi and BTT board You can run either micro USB to the screen and the short USB-A to USB-Micro B cable to route power from the screen to the Pi. I had under voltage issues doing this so ran power to the Pi and screen using the GPIO pins in the end. I'm using 3mm side panels so have used the 3mm rear cover, if you are using 4mm side panels, use the 4mm rear cover This thing works well with my RPi Camera mount and a 30cm CSI ribbon www.thingiverse.com/thing:5253354 required fixings 4X M3X12 bolts to mount the screen (N.B. the length here denotes the length of the threads, not including the bolt head) 4X M3X10 bolts to mount the rear cover 4X M3 nuts 2X M6X12 bolts and drop in T-nuts
