Filament runout sensor
Description
This was remade for 2.85mm filament adding support for the plastic guide tube. Because of the tight fit of the tube, I ran a drill through to clean up any tiny fibers and used dishwashing liquid to help ease the tube in. I felt no need to add a lid as I like to see in. Besides adding the tube support I changed the interior dimensions tighter to the switch and cut off the corner so the metal arm can fully move. Switches were bought on Amazon, Muzhi SPDT1NO 1NC Momentary hinge metal roller lever Micro switch AC 5 amp, 250 Volt, 125 colt, Best upgrade for under a dollar and works like a charm. Hooked it up via a Raspberry Pi.
