And one of the axis must work like a jet fighter throttle. I made a specific cam for Virpil WarBRD joystick so its grip keeps its position when released instead of returning to its centre position. <ul><li> This is how a real flight stick behaves in many aircraft ; there is no centre position: <a href="https://youtu.be/7u90RRJ59TM?t=18"> video</a>. </li><li>This is a feature of very expensive joysticks. It's the same principle. <a href="https://youtu.be/uHYEKwBlNgg">video</a>.</p> </li></ul><h2><u><b>Applicability:</u></b></h2><ul><li> Compatible with the Virpil WarBRD joystick base. </li></ul><h2><u><b>Print:</u></b></h2><ul><li> Print the mating surfaces facing away from the build plate. (Print the slider sideway with supports) </li><li>Designed for filament printing. Printed in PLA. </li></ul><h2><u><b>Materials:</u></b></h2><ul><li> just the spring that is in the joystick. </li></ul><h2><u><b>Disassembly:</u></b></h2><ol><li> Remove both cams, the spacers and the extension spring. → <a href="https://youtu.be/PZ6_0N7uRKc">Virpil's video on Youtube</a>. </li><li>Remove the bolt that held the cam on the left and the ball bearings. </li></ol><h2><u><b>Assembly:</u></b></h2><ol><li> Assemble the 3D-printed parts and the spring. </li><li>Install the assembly inside the base in place of the vendor's cams. </li></ol><h2><u><b>Known Issues and Planned Solutions:</u></b></h2><ul><li> Need detent marks?→ see remix. </li><li>I am otherwise happy with the results.
