Prusa Mini Extruder BMG IR filament sensor
Description
I was wondering to put a dual drive gear extruder on my Prusa Mini, there are already several models but no one with integrated filament sensor. I retrived few pictures from bondtech about the IF sensor arrangment then I build my version. Onother target was to make an easy replacment without buying additional parts as teflon pipe, threaded joint, and so on. I used only a threaded insert for the holder retainer but I make available also the version for the nut. I bought a 20€ dual gear extruder on Amazon for the mechanical staff. Printed and tested several times in order to guarantee the plug and play format. I also re use the holder from the kit I bought, but if you prefer a 3D printed holder there are several model in Thingiverse, dimensions are the same (I would design a dedicated one soon) I realized two models of the body: - extruder_housing_rev2 :working with the parts coming from the extruder I bought (see pic), and threaded insert for the holder. - extruder_housing_bmg :different bottom bearing support position (-0.5mm) due to the different position of the groove on the extruder gears, and the hole for the squared nut to connect the holder.
